Approach
We believe in getting to the root of the issue. In psychiatry today, there is often a focus on overdiagnosis and overmedication. Most people seeking outpatient psychiatric care do so secondary to symptoms they experience due to underlying complex trauma or neurodivergence. With judicious use of appropriate medication as well as consideration of other treatment options, many people can find a better quality of life. We want all of our patients to feel that their psychiatric care has a collaborative approach, with their concerns as well as hopes being taken seriously.
Deb Kiehlmeier, DO
I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist. I am originally from New Jersey, where I completed my undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and then attended medical school at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my psychiatric residency at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). After completing my residency, I spent three years in Portland, Oregon. I currently reside in Los Angeles, CA.
Heather Stang, PA
I am a board-certified Physician Associate and have been practicing since 2018. A New Jersey native, I completed my undergraduate at Rutgers University, where I was a classmate of Dr. Kiehlmeier. I then attended Chatham University to complete my graduate degree. Since then, I have worked in primary care, where I have primarily focused on helping patients with their mental health, ultimately leading me here!
